When and Where does it come into effect?
On the 1st July 2006, the RoHS Directive became effective to ban the introduction to the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of 6 hazardous materials.
Which 6 hazardous materials?
Lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.
What kind of products are affected? |
